Dr. Fosnaugh is a Board certified Family medicine physician who grew up in rural North Central Washington. She started DPC of Central WA to offer a membership-based model that allows necessary time to really serve patients’ needs. Dr. Fosnaugh prioritizes health care that is personal, convenient, comprehensive, timely, and transparent.

What is Direct primary care?
Direct Primary Care is an innovative alternative payment model improving access to healthcare with a flat, affordable membership fee. No fee-for-service payments. No third party billing, just you (the patient) and your physician.
Is concierge medicine the same as direct primary care?
No. Both models provide direct access to your physician and personalized care, however the concierge model bills insurance while also charging a membership fee. There also is much more afterhours access with Conciere services makins g much more expensive. DPC does not bill insurance, and the membership fee is usually dramatically less than for a concierge membership and access to your physician is still exceptional, but not the same as concierge medicine.
What is a D.O.? What is OMT?
A D.O. is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, a fully-licensed physician who is able to practice in all specialties of medicine – just like an M.D. In addition, we receive specialized training in the musculoskeletal system so that we can diagnose and treat many common somatic dysfunction with the use of OMT, or osteopathic manipulative therapy. We also receive training that focuses on prevention and holistic patient care, taking into account how lifestyle and environment can impact disease.
Do you treat chronic pain?
We do not treat chronic pain, however, we do not refill or prescribe controlled chronic pain medications like opiates, even if another doctor has prescribed them for you before. We believe there are many other ways to treat chronic pain and are happy to work with you to figure out the best options for you.
What if I decide to Cancel my membership?
We understand that situations may change. You may cancel your membership at any time, and we request 30 days notice.
Do you take medicare patients?
Unfortunately not at this time. I will be in the near future, but due to medicare rules I am not currently able to. Please join the my medicare waitlist to be notified when this changes.
Can I submit my DPC charge to my insurance for reimbursement?
No, DPC membership is not reimbursable by insurance companies; however, you can use HSA funds to pay for your membership.
What if I need a specialist or need to go to the hospital?
The great thing about direct primary care is we have the time to take care of much more than traditional visits in primary care. Instead of leaving your visit with multiple referrals and no plan or answers to your concerns, we strive to take the time, develop comprehensive evidence based care plans to address your concerns before referring to specialists. However, We will be the first to let you know if your condition would be better served by a specialist. Dr. Fosnaugh will not put your health at risk by providing care outside her area of expertise. We will help to coordinate these referrals within your insurance network if needed. We do encourage you to obtain and maintain insurance for these kinds of needs.
Do you accept health insurance?
No and we’re excited about this. Our direct care model allows to spend more time with our patients, less time doing paperwork. It also frees us from the typical contractual agreements that prevent physicians in traditional practice from offering wholesale prices on medication, laboratory tests and imaging which saves you money.
Do you offer same day sick appointments?
Absolutely. For members we will always make room for a same day sick appointment if we are in the office that day.
